About the Hawker 4000 (Horizon)
The Hawker 4000 (originally named the Hawker Horizon) was Hawker Beechcraft's flagship super-midsize jet, the first large-cabin business jet built with a composite fuselage. It offers a full six feet of stand-up cabin headroom and coast-to-coast US range, but a limited 73-unit production run and the type's 2013 discontinuation have left it a niche, thinly traded segment of the pre-owned market.

Colorado mountain airports: limited
Technically a strong hot-and-high performer: an AOPA pilot report describes a 4000 carrying six passengers out of Aspen on an 82F day and continuing nonstop to the East Coast, so the airframe itself is capable at ASE. However, production ended in 2013 after roughly 70 aircraft built, making it genuinely rare in today's charter fleet; realistic availability for this market is limited by scarcity rather than performance, and no EGE or TEX-specific data was found.
