About the Embraer Phenom 100EX

The Phenom 100EX is Embraer's entry-level very light jet, built for short regional hops with the tallest and widest cross-section in its class. It pairs a single-pilot-friendly Garmin G3000 Prodigy Touch flight deck with class-first Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS) technology. It is the newest member of a lineage with over 400 Phenom 100s delivered since 2008.

Who charters it

Popular for quick 1-2 hour legs (regional business hops, quick weekend trips) where a light-jet-sized cabin isn't needed; typically the most economical Embraer jet a broker can quote, but its ~1,178 nm range means it is not a fit for coast-to-coast or transcon missions.

Colorado mountain airports: capable

Manufacturer and broker sources credit the Phenom 100 family's short balanced field length with letting it operate at Aspen and Telluride, fields where many larger jets are restricted, and it fits comfortably into EGE. Its short range (near 1,200 nm) and small cabin make it realistically a light-load, short-hop charter type at these fields, and the VLJ charter fleet is thinner than the Phenom 300 or CJ lines, so confidence on routine TEX/ASE utilization is moderate rather than high.

Planning guidance only. The operator, the AFM performance data, and conditions on the day are the final authority.
