About the Pilatus PC-24
The Pilatus PC-24 is a Swiss-built light jet built around a large forward cargo door and a flat, continuous cabin floor, letting operators reconfigure between full-passenger and cargo/passenger-combi layouts. It is certified for unpaved, gravel and short grass strips, extending its reach well beyond typical light-jet destinations.
Who charters it
Charter clients choose the PC-24 for its unusual combination of a wide, tall cabin, real cargo flexibility (skis, pets, freight, medevac stretchers) and genuine backcountry/short-field access to airports light jets normally can't use, at the cost of a premium charter rate versus comparable light jets.

Colorado mountain airports: capable
The PC-24 is purpose-built for short and rough-field performance (roughly 3,000 ft runways, 81 kt stall speed) with braking designed for hot-and-high fields like Telluride, and it is marketed explicitly for Aspen-type missions, supporting a strong theoretical fit for all three. It is a newer type with fewer on charter certificates than the CJ or Phenom lines and routine real-world ASE/TEX charter volume was not confirmed, so treat it as very capable on paper with a still-developing track record at these specific fields.
