About the Embraer Phenom 300E

The Phenom 300E is Embraer's flagship light jet: the fastest and longest-ranged single-pilot business jet in production, with a 2,010 nm range and Mach 0.80 top speed. Its Oval Lite cabin cross-section, 6,600 ft cabin altitude, and largest-in-class windows have made it a benchmark for the category.

Who charters it

The single most requested light jet in charter, with the deepest operator availability and best market liquidity in its class, easy to source on short notice almost anywhere in North America and Europe. The default recommendation for a four to eight passenger trip. The 2,010 nm figure is Embraer's five-occupant number with the flight crew counted, and with the two pilots charter operators commonly use, that is three passengers. A four-passenger leg anywhere near that distance, and any eight-passenger one, needs a payload-range check rather than the headline.

Mission fit: the Embraer Phenom 300E at a glance

A quick light jet with good legs for a small group, though the cabin is built for sitting rather than standing.

Best for

  • Denver to either coast nonstop with four aboard, after reserves and headwind
  • Small parties of up to 6
  • Shorter runways, with a published takeoff distance of about 3,200 ft

Think twice if

  • Its range was published lighter than four aboard, so we plan it with extra margin
  • Standing room matters: the cabin is about 4'11" tall

Mountain airports

Strong. A regular choice into Aspen, Eagle and Telluride when the day's weight and weather allow.

Computed from specifications current as of 2026-09-28. Range lines start from the 2,010 nm four-passenger figure, hold back a reserve and fly into a 50 kt headwind. Winds, weight and the operator's own performance numbers decide any given day. Check your route in the Range Explorer.

Colorado mountain airports: strong

The Phenom 300 is repeatedly named among the small set of jets able to make full use of Aspen's runway, was the second most popular general aviation type at ASE with roughly 4,000 annual operations (half via NetJets and Flexjet), and is also cited as a top choice for Telluride with a presence in Eagle County's charter mix. Along with the CJ3 it is the benchmark light jet for this specific mountain-airport market.
