Pilatus PC-12 NGX
Turboprop jet - 6 passengers, 1,803 nm published range

About the Pilatus PC-12 NGX
The Pilatus PC-12 NGX is the single-engine turboprop that defined the category, pairing a 330 cu ft executive cabin with a cargo door large enough for skis, golf bags and freight. The digitally controlled PT6E-67XP engine gives a 290 ktas cruise and up to 1,803 nm of range, and the aircraft is equally at home on short gravel and grass strips and at major airports.
Who charters it
Strong for regional missions where the runway is short, the load is bulky, or the destination has no jet service at all. The 330 cu ft cabin is the largest of any single-engine turboprop, the 4 ft 5 in aft cargo door swallows gear that will not fit through a light jet door, and 40 cu ft of baggage volume takes ski bags and golf clubs that a light jet cannot, so six people moving 500 to 700 nm get real value. The honest limitations are speed and engine count. At 290 ktas it is slower than any jet, the 30,000 ft ceiling means flying through more weather rather than over it, and some charter clients and some corporate travel policies require two engines, which rules the PC-12 out regardless of its record. That question is worth asking before the aircraft is ever quoted. Charter hourly figures shown here are non-binding estimate ranges, not quotes.

Colorado mountain airports: capable
The PC-12 has a genuine mountain-charter track record in this market: an Aspen-based operator flies a PC-12 out of ASE specifically because of its team's mountain-operations experience, and a Telluride-area air-taxi provider lists the PC-12 as one of several example aircraft, alongside the King Air, Meridian, and Conquest, offered for the Aspen-Telluride city pair. At 2,600 ft the NGX's takeoff distance clears ASE and EGE comfortably, and TEX is workable, but climb-out through the terrain around the field is the real constraint there, and summer density altitude cuts into payload the same way it does for any turboprop at 9,000-plus feet. The honest caveat is engine count: some charter clients and corporate travel policies will not accept a single-engine aircraft into this terrain regardless of its performance record, so confirm that before quoting TEX or Leadville.
Planning guidance only. The operator, the AFM performance data, and conditions on the day are the final authority.
