Sole FBO on the field. Mountain airport with high unmarked terrain in every direction. The FAA recommends that aircraft departing runway 25 begin a left turn as soon as altitude and safety permit, and its published departure off runway 25 requires a minimum climb of 815 ft per nautical mile to 9,200 ft, which the operator plans takeoff weight around. Night operations are discouraged for pilots unfamiliar with the airport. Control tower open 7 am to 7 pm local. CBP office open Thursday through Monday, 9 am to 5 pm Mountain Time, with after-hours service available; 3 hours advance notice is required (FAA Chart Supplement, September 2026).
