About the Embraer Legacy 500

The Embraer Legacy 500 is a super-midsize business jet built around fly-by-wire flight controls, a flat-floor stand-up cabin and Embraer's clean-sheet design philosophy. It offers three distinct cabin zones and coast-to-coast US range in a package smaller operators can crew and hangar easily.

Who charters it

Charter clients choose the Legacy 500 for transcontinental US trips and cross-country business travel where a genuine stand-up, three-zone cabin and eight-plus passenger capacity are needed without stepping up to a heavy jet.

Colorado mountain airports: capable

Approved for high-altitude airports up to 13,800 ft with strong short-field numbers for a midsize-plus cabin, and it shares its airframe with the Praetor 600 that Embraer and Flexjet market for Aspen-class runways, so ASE and EGE are realistic with normal seasonal payload trims. Like the Praetor 600, treat TEX as marginal for the type's weight class rather than routine.

Planning guidance only. The operator, the AFM performance data, and conditions on the day are the final authority.
