The Embraer Legacy 450 is a midsize business jet with fly-by-wire flight controls and a fuselage cross-section shared with the larger Legacy 500, giving it an unusually roomy, flat-floor cabin for its class. It was designed to compete directly with the Cessna Citation Latitude and Sovereign.

Colorado mountain airports: capable
The Legacy 450 shares its fly-by-wire airframe with the Praetor 500 that Flexjet recommends for Telluride, is approved for high-altitude airports up to 13,800 ft, and needs only about 3,907 ft of sea-level runway, so ASE and EGE are realistic with normal seasonal caveats. Fewer are on charter certificates than the Praetor since production ended in 2019, and TEX should still be planned with payload cuts on warm days.
