About the Bombardier Global 8000

The Bombardier Global 8000 is the world's fastest civil aircraft since Concorde, cruising at up to Mach 0.95 (with a Mach 0.92 sustained ultra-high-speed cruise) while still delivering an 8,000 nm range and four equal-size living suites. It is built on the Global 7500 airframe with an uprated engine and aerodynamic refinements, and posts the industry's lowest cabin altitude (2,691 ft at FL410) for reduced jet lag on the longest legs.

Who charters it

As the newest and fastest purpose-built business jet, the Global 8000 is positioned for time-sensitive ultra-long-range clients (round-the-world, US-Asia, US-Middle East) willing to pay a premium for speed and the lowest cabin altitude in the category; charter availability is still limited as the fleet ramps up from its December 2025 entry into service.

Worth knowing

  • World's fastest business jet: Mach 0.95 top speed, Mach 0.92 ultra-high-speed cruise
  • Industry's lowest cabin altitude at 2,691 ft (comparable to standing atop the Burj Khalifa) while cruising at 41,000 ft
  • Four true equal-size living suites plus a private crew suite with its own Nuage seat
  • Smooth Flex Wing with leading-edge slats enabling access to roughly 30% more airports than its closest competitor
  • Available 55-inch 4K cabin display, the largest in the industry
  • Elie Saab collaboration cabin design option

Colorado mountain airports: limited

Shares the Global 7500's roughly 104 ft wingspan, so it runs into the same 95 ft Aspen wingspan restriction that keeps the 7500 out of ASE, with Eagle County and Rifle as the likely pass-through airports for Aspen-bound trips. This is a brand-new type just entering service, so there is no meaningful mountain-airport operating history yet; the rating leans on the closely related Global 7500's documented pattern rather than confirmed Global 8000 operations. Telluride is not realistic for a jet this size.

Planning guidance only. The operator, the AFM performance data, and conditions on the day are the final authority.
