About the Bombardier Global 6500

The Bombardier Global 6500 is the direct successor to the Global 6000, keeping its class-leading cabin volume while adding a purpose-built Rolls-Royce Pearl engine, an optimized wing and the Global 7500's Nuage seating and cabin technology for a 6,600 nm range -- the farthest in its class -- at up to Mach 0.90.

Who charters it

The default heavy-jet pick for long transoceanic charter (Europe-US East Coast, Middle East-Asia) when clients want the newest available cabin tech and the longest range in the 6000-series without stepping up to the larger, pricier Global 7500.

Colorado mountain airports: capable

Shares the Global 6000/5500 wing and 94 ft wingspan, so it clears Aspen's 95 ft restriction, and its 6,145 ft TOFL is a bit better than the 6000's. Workable at ASE with weight/fuel restrictions in warm conditions, routine at EGE; Telluride is not a realistic destination for a jet this size and weight beyond rare exceptions.

Planning guidance only. The operator, the AFM performance data, and conditions on the day are the final authority.
